Pixel Laser Treatment
Contact Us
Pixel is very effective for treating a variety of common skin concerns, including acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin texture, sun damaged skin, melasma and other forms of hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and surgical scars.
The Pixel laser stimulates new, more rapid collagen growth which smoothens and tightens skin. The laser creates a large number of tiny holes in the skin that work to remove the top layer of the skin, while the surrounding skin cells remain intact.
How does a Pixel treatment compare to its’ competitors?
As a newer type of resurfacing device, Pixel laser is a “non-ablative” laser treatment capable of minimizing laxity or sagging of the neck, jawline as well as enhancing the overall quality of the skin. While Fraxel and Pixel laser treatments are both non-ablative and rely on fractional laser energy, Pixel has a longer wavelength of 2940 nm, compared to the 1320 nm of Fraxel. While both can effectively treat various signs of aging and photo-damaged skin, Pixel laser penetrates deeper into the skin, making it a better treatment for depressed acne scars, and more challenging skin imperfections.
The formation of new collagen continues after the last treatment session so continued improvements are usually seen up to 4-6 months after the last treatment. For best results, this treatment is often recommended at 3 treatments, at 3-4 week intervals, although this amount is dependent on the condition of your skin. The number of treatments required for best results depends on the starting point and condition of your skin.

What is the downtime for Pixel laser treatment?
With the Pixel laser, you can expect some redness and swelling for one to three days. Your skin will spend the next five to seven days peeling. You can resume most activities within a day or two after treatment, but you may want to avoid social situations while your skin recovers.
The Takeaway
The Pixel laser creates significant enhancements to skin tone, skin texture, and facial aesthetic. By lasing the outer skin layers and stimulating collagen production at a deep level, you can expect to see restored, refreshed, and rejuvenated skin.
